GEORGIA 511
Georgia 511 is a free phone service offered by the Georgia Department of Transportation that provides real-time traffic and travel information 24 hours a day, seven days a week to those traveling within the state of Georgia. The service covers all state routes and interstates and gives trip times, statewide traffic updates and information on construction projects and lane closures. Georgia 511 also connects to accident reporting roadside assistance, transit, airports, tourism information and 511 systems in neighboring states.

Georgians for Better Transportation is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization aimed at improving the transportation infrastructure throughout the state. GWINNETT 2030 UNIFIED PLAN
The Gwinnett County 2030 Unified Plan is the central document and integrates two traditionally separate plans: the Comprehensive Plan and the Consolidated Plan. Typically the Comprehensive Plan, required by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, focuses on land use and development issues while the Consolidated Plan, required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, addresses community development, housing, and homeless needs. Both of these plans rely on the same basic data and both establish long-range policy direction for the County. QUALITY GROWTH ATLANTA
What will Atlanta be like in 2030? The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Quality Growth Task Force makes a number of recommendations to improve our future quality of life.
   
QUALITY OF LIFE UNIT
This unit partners with other government and community organizations to help fix small problems before they become bigger by enforcing existing codes, ordinances, and laws.

The unit focuses on specific neighborhoods with elevated crime statistics. Officers primarily enforce existing ordinances related to litter, trash, dumping, junk cars, parking, signs, graffiti, maintenance, storage, zoning, and occupancy.

THE TRANSIT PLANNING BOARD
The Transit Planning Board (TPB) is a partnership that will establish and maintain a seamless, integrated transit network for the Atlanta region.

Created by a joint resolution of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA), the TPB will conduct an initial planning phase of at least two years during which it will develop a regional transit plan including a comprehensive financial plan; work to improve regional service coordination, including integrating fares, marketing and customer information; measure system performance; and advocate for increased federal funding for regional transit.
