CID awarded $350,000 grant for Pleasant Hill streetscape
The Georgia Department of Transportation has agreed to supply $350,000
in Transportation Enhancement (TE) grant funds in response to an
application submitted by the CID.
The TE funds will accompany $540,000 in sales tax revenue Gwinnett
County has budgeted to construct sidewalks on Pleasant Hill Road
from Breckinridge oulevard to Satellite Boulevard.
The grant will pay for streetscape elements such as decorative
street lamps, benches, trashcans and landscaping. Click

An additional commitment of $180,000 from the CID for engineering/planning
and $10,000 in grading services from Bill Russell’s Russell
Landscape Group Inc. likely added to the state’s decision
to approve the grant application.
