Throughout 2011, the CID launched an outreach effort through Ogilvy Worldwide to determine issues affecting the district's visitation, business vitality and redevelopment. This research project involved polling sample populations of local residents, businesses, employees and visitors to gather impressions of their respective experiences. The survey results, along with analysis of social media conversations from online communities and national redevelopment benchmark projects, served as the framework for the Board of Directors updated strategic plan. This strategic vision will shape the CID's response as it works with its stakeholders and commercial property investors to develop programs that promote the economic vitality of Gwinnett's central business district.
